Anche il noto fotogiornalista “Kash” Gabriele Torsello ha deciso di candidarsi alle elezioni del Comites 2014 per Londra con la lista “Siamo Italiani“.

Torsello, per chi non se lo ricordasse, è sopravvissuto a tre settimane di rapimento mentre lavorava in Afghanistan quasi esattamente otto anni fa.

Residente a Londra da 20 anni ha lavorato in zone di conflitto, collaborando con agenzie delle Nazioni Unite quali UNESCO, UNFPA, FAO, e varie testate giornalistiche come BBC World, SKY News, RAI, Mediaset ,The Observer, Time Magazine, Libération, Kyoto Journal, La Repubblica, Il Giornale.

Il suo lavoro è stato presentato e discusso nel Parlamento Inglese, nel Parlamento Europeo, in Campidoglio a Roma, nelle Università di Cambridge, Berlino, Roma, Cagliari, Lecce, al Festival del Cinema di Locarno e in vari Convegni in Italia e Inghilterra.
